Conference details and theme

Now in its 20th year, UTIHP’s Health and Human Rights Conference has become a staple event in the U of T Global Health community and beyond. On January 27th and 28th of 2018, this conference will bring together professional, graduate, and undergraduate students together, engaging them in a dialogue about pertinent health issues, connecting them to like-minded individuals, and empowering them to act and contribute to solutions for health disparities at home and abroad.

This year’s theme is Integrated Healthcare. The conference attempts to bring together several leading scientists and renowned speakers in different fields, such as Engineering, Political Science, Finance, Policy making and more, to engage in a dialogue about how different stakeholders can work together to better our current healthcare system, to make it more accessible and efficient for all.

Our conference will bring together tomorrow’s physicians, public health professionals, pharmacists, nurses, lawyers, policy makers and NGO workers to begin working towards a better world. We believe an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach is an essential part of the solution to global health challenges. Our conference features two esteemed keynote speakers, guided workshop sessions, case competitions, and our volunteer and Research Poster Fairs. We welcome students from all backgrounds and years to participate in our conference.
